A view of a river surrounded by trees in Duluth, MN.

Duluth MN

This is a short and brief post about my trip to Duluth MN. I really appreciated the city of Duluth.  It was a last minute trip over a long weekend.  My mom actually asked me (knowing how much I love to travel) if I could think of anywhere cool to go over a 3 day weekend.  I have been wanting to go for a while, but never made it to Duluth.  I ended up meeting her and her husband up there on a Sunday with my friend Alex.  This was also my first ride up on my new Victory Motorcycle.  I recently traded in my Honda CBR 600RR for a Bagger!  Its a sick ride with the biggest bags Ive ever seen as well as a mean blacked out look to it.  The ride was about 6 hours up due to us driving up the North Shore, but it was a gorgeous ride.  I learned quickly that I want to install a front fairing or windshield on my new bike.  By the way it is a 2013 Victory Hardball. I’ll have to post some photos in the future!  I will warn any motorcyclists that the temperature drops anywhere from 10-20 degrees once you get up to the edge of Superior, WI. This means that you should really consider bringing ample clothing.  We made our way about an hour and a half North of Duluth for our stay.  We visited the lighthouse and a few waterfalls on our way back to Duluth.  The highlight of my trip was definitely stopping at New Scenic Cafe.  I love organic, farm to table restaurants that offer unique foods that tease the taste buds and pallets.  The view was right out on the Lake as the breeze came gently through the trees.  I cannot say enough about New Scenic Cafe!
