Rim of the City

Why cant Rim of the City be an elopement location? I understand it is slightly dangerous but I feel that the La Crosse area should consider making this a thing. This is a slightly hidden gem of the city that is quite honestly the easiest wok you will ever make. I have a wedding later this year with a couple of that are both actors in the Minneapolis Area and have chosen to give me the benefit of photographing their wedding day. We had already hit it off with a great photo session this last winter, but I offered to do another session with them because we were so limited by the weather on their first session. The couple chose to utilize the second session to get some head shots of themselves. I will probably not post any of the head shots because I am primarily a wedding photographer, But during the head shot session we did get a few photos of the couple on rim of the city. We played with light and had an amazing time on the top of the bluff. We actually did this as a morning session which was different from the norm of what I would get as a Sunset session. The aspects and the way the light fell was completely different and refreshing. I can’t wait to take another client up there soon

Pizza, Coffee, and travel define my life. I believe in traveling often and experiencing new cultures and ways of life. When I travel I try to find amazing hikes, so you will see a lot of those in my blog posts! I also have a constant hunger for organic/farm-to-table restaurants. I love finding the little hole-in-wall places that only the locals know about! In the summer I love playing beach volleyball.

I live in La Crosse, WI to take care of my grandparents while I still can. Right now that gives me purpose. Eventually I see myself moving to a larger city with lots of hikes and outdoor activities to do. I want to live a life with purpose, constantly engaging people, growing and pushing forward.

I believe in documenting lifestyles and people. Each person has so many different experiences that has shaped who they are as a person. It excites me to go into a wedding day without knowledge of the family and see how each family operates, relates and connects.
