Jacks Point Queenstown Wedding

Such an amazing wedding. Thank you to Jim pollard who so kindly allowed me to second shoot with him. The wedding ceremony and reception were both at Jack’s point in Queenstown. This Jacks Point Queenstown Wedding was very interesting. The couple was actually from Australia and travel over to New Zealand in order to get married on the mountaintop. I was able to connect more with the groom. He was a graphic designer from Sydney Australia. He was so very quiet and modest the whole day. You can see the design work in the locations that they chose for their wedding day. He also used motorcycle cufflinks which sparked a conversation between us being that I ride motorcycles all the time. The house that they had chosen to get ready at had paintings from Andy Warhol all over. The architecture itself was absolutely stunning. The windows in the house also ran from the baseboards all the way up to the ceiling. This gave a beautiful view of the snowy peaks and low valleys. Once we’ve got are groom prep shots we moved our way down to a hotel closer into the heart of Queenstown. The bride was getting ready with her mother and father. There is no doubt how their family was so very energetic and had a great vibe to them. I don’t think I saw her stop smiling at any point. Her mother had the same spunk that she had, And her father was so very cool and calm that brought a balance to the day. I find it touching how emotional the mother and father word during the ceremony. Both broke down and we’re crying. The wedding was absolutely beautiful with the Remarkables in the distant background. I cannot wait until I get to visit New Zealand again.

A few years back I shot a wedding in Queenstown, New Zealand with an absolutely amazing photographer, Jim Pollard. It was the most amazing experience I have had. At the time I saw the most beautiful mountains I have ever seen. I had the biggest burger at Fergburger you will ever see. On top of that I had experienced a couple from Sydney Austrailia tie the knot under the Remarkables. It is something I would love to go back for. I plan to again soon for some good hiking.
