This shot was taken outside of the Jewel Golf Course in Lake City MN. We had some bridesmaid fun as we always do, and lets face it, every girl loves to laugh. I had so much fun working with these ladies. Sometimes people think it is just snapping pictures, in reality moments like these are psychology tests. You really have to know how to relate to people, and get them to laugh because not all parties are so…giggly. Especially when it comes to the guys, they cramp up, and try to play it cool.
I think that there are two huge benefits I grew up with. First off I had a crazy mom, you know the off the wall crazy bouncy is now approaching her 50s and still goofs around like a 18 year old girl. Don’t get me wrong, I love her, we have always had a friendship rather than a overbearing dominance, but it made me understand women more because I connected with her and my grandma more. Second….I’ll save for another day. Being able to relate to women, yet being a guy has allowed me to go from the bridal prep room right to the grooms getting ready. Sometimes this means leaving a room after bridal prep is done where the conversations to this day will make me blush, and then moving into a room where all I need to know is how to talk football, beer, and hunting. It is quite the contrast.
Throughout the day I have have a mixture of different types of pictures that get captured. Something that comes standard with every wedding is a family and friends formal and in this case…informal pictures. For the formals I have a shotlist to organize and make sure all brides and grooms, mothers and fathers get the pictures with the people they want. This is different for every wedding, yet again is a standard. So lets take a moment to enjoy a fun photo that is a little less creative and more fun. Enjoy
